::heading=Problem
On a Robotiq Palletizing Solution AX model, the 7th Axis may not be able to start right away after a power cycle of the solution. If the Axis is blocked at the "Homed" step as on the below screenshot, the root cause of the issue is the homing position of the Axis that is not saved.
::heading=Context
This issue is affecting a specific combination of motor drive and PLC inside the Axis controller box produced between January and June 2023.
The specific combination is the Festo PLC with a Festo Multiconfiguration Drive that replaced an EtherCAT-only Drive.
The issue is caused by the software configuration of the Multiconfiguration drive that does not save the Homing position by default as opposed to the EtherCAT model that had this option on by default.
::heading=Solution
The solution to this issue is to re-write the configuration of the drive from the Festo Automation Suite on a PC connected to the solution's network.
The procedure to solve this issue must be followed along with a member of Robotiq's Technical Support to ensure it is done correctly
