If you want to access the full set of features released in our latest URCap, you must upgrade your Robotiq Wrist Camera license. Here's how to do it:
::heading=Prerequisites
- The URCap UCC-1.9.0 or higher must be installed. See this procedure to update the Wrist Camera URCap and Vision Server
- The Vision Server and License dongle must remain plugged in during the upgrade process
- The Wrist Camera must be started
::heading=Procedure
- Download the license upgrader
- Copy the license upgrader at the root of an empty USB stick
- To run the license upgrader, insert the USB stick in a USB port on the robot. A license request will be generated on the USB stick
::note=Various messages will appear on the teach pendant during the license upgrade request process. You will be able to remove the USB stick when this message will appear: License request generated, you can now unplug the license upgraded
::info=If you have more than one robot that needs a license upgrade, you can re-use the same USB stick as many time as necessary
- A file will be generated on the USB stick, named licenserequest_x-xxxxxxx.txt. Send this file to support@robotiq.com Our support team will generate a file named licenseunlock.txt and send it back to you as soon as possible
- When you receive the licenseunlock.txt file, copy it on the root of the USB stick containing the license upgrader file. If you don't have it anymore, refer to step 1 & 2
- Insert the USB key into the desired robot. The license upgrader will run and upgrade your Wrist Camera License dongle
::note=If you try to use the licenseunlock.txt file on a robot for which you have not previously done the steps 3 & 4, it will not work. Upgrade the robots for which these steps have been done then start from step 1 for robots that needs a license upgrade request
